Miss the days before all the extra campaigns and expansion.
When doing a tombs run was profitable and fun.

Guild Wars is always best when you got seven other good people to play with, the time goes by fast and easy when in good company.

What exactly happened to AoE?

Scatter, meaning monsters would scatter to certain AoE spells...I think. I'm a Warrior so I just shrugged it off.
It sounds like a good implementation, though. Anything that makes the enemies smarter is awesome, in my opinion.

Prophecies ~ before the grind...it could be it was new but it was more fun to "play" the game back then. Now, it seems like a teenager again and I've been given chores that need to get done.

Probably has been said, but for me the game was at its best at 2nd part of 2005 when it was just Prophecies, everything was sort of new and people hadn't accomplished quite that much yet. But you can never regain that sense of first time play-through, no matter how many times you re-roll (also applies to Fallout 2).

I'm gonna say it cuz it's true. When you first walk into Ascalon City in Pre-searing. When I did that, I knew I had picked up an awsome game, and to thi sday nothing compares to the first day, all 16 straight hours of amazement. Pre-searing was increadible.

There was no TomPs PvE back then as it was The Hall of Heros Temple of the PrimeEvil Kings (ToPK).

Which one? The one where you couldnt re-allocate your attribute points? The one with Tombs or without? The Prophecies where mobs didnt scatter when you cast AoE? Etc etc etc.
Before the grind? Hmm...so when did ecto's and shards fall from the sky, exactly? People were grinding every day long before titles, titles came about when people on this same forum opened threads pretty much every day complaining they ran out of things to do...now you can grind (optionally) for thousands of hours and guess what? Daily threads whining about grind, ye god, you people make baby jesus cry.
GW today is the best there ever was, imho.

There was only one Prophecies and in my other post the TomPs were the Hall of Heros and you are talking about refund points that was still the same as well as when mobs scatter at AoE.

When I started it ( 3 years ago..), it was new, fun and looked great! And guys you can say whatever you want, but game is not boring because of ursan, titles etc. but because it's 3 years old and most of you are playing it 2, 3 days a week if not every day. Well ofc its boring, I bet some new player would say he loves the game as it is, since to be honest for me GW is one of the best MMO games there is, even though I am bored with it. Talking about good old days is always fun though, and people love to do that, you tend to forget bad things and past is always wonderful, this goes for rl, so does for games.

sorrows furnace was sooo good. i loved how i could wake up at 2am and find people looking for groups to play wit. REAL PEOPLE and not heroes. heroes are fun but they take away the social aspect of a full group, which was really made the game great for me. plus, the envy when a good drop occurs rocked (no inscriables)

guild wars was best when you had to be good at the game to beat pve and win pvp.
